I am not a typical ArchiTECH.PC user. I have been using the program for more than 10 years as support for other various building design programs.

My task is to enter the plans that were prepared by architects who use general drawing programs, then to prepare 3D views for them and create a detailed spatial model of the entire work.

This work primarily serves commercial goals. My clients print out the large-format plans I have prepared give them to the construction managers in order to help make the project more understandable.

I use ArchiTECH.PC and the built-in modeling software (Softcad 3D) to create objects that do not appear in the library. For example, in this project, I needed to work out in detail an existing entryway and building in 3D. Then the new building needed to be aligned into one space along with its environs, based on photographs and creating and using many new textures for, for example, decoration of doors and windows.

I very often make use of the import/export functions of ArchiTECH.PC. It sometimes happens that I need to enter objects produced by other software (e.g. Google SketchUp) as symbols. Using the Perspective Pilot, I correct the distortions that occur in the photorealistic perspective, while the plug-in Eye Candy 4000 - Chrome offers help with certain texture effects (metallic, density effect for railings).

For the "Porfido" surface for the parking area and the square, we downloaded photos from the internet and were able to use them to create the texture in ArchiTECH.PC.

Thanks to the Viewer version, a presentation of the project was put together that could be understood equally by laypeople and experts, demonstrating how the new building fits into the existing environment. The spatial display and real-time tour are good and spectacular options. From a commercial point of view, they are indispensable supplements to the traditional printed brochures, from the points of view of both the construction manager and the future client.
