This T6 residential building with attached garage is located near the banks of the Loire , in the southern part of Angers.

The rear of the house is open to the southeast, creating a side garden and interior space that is sheltered from wind from the north, rain from the west, and onlookers from the street. This soluition results in a nice, light residential space.

It was designed from natural, non-polluting matierials that are not harmful to health, and surface treatment and gluing of wood was avoided. In keeping with this, the surface treatment of the wooden floors and painting of all of the interior walls was done with organic matierials.

The flooring, walls, and ceiling have a breathig structure. The floors were made using fired ceramic placed over a base of hemp plates treated with anti-radon protection. The ceiling was fitted with hemp insulation affixed to a moisture-resistant layer.

The walls that regulate moisture diffusion are of different structure types, depending on their position : dense brick wall on the northern and western walls, but a hemp-board-insulated wooden structure on the southern and eastern sides, with a wooden board rain guard. All of these are complemented by shades to protect from the sun's rays.

Warm water is produced using solar energy, while the heating is provided by a furnace that burns wood chips. The electric wiring has biocompatible protective covering.

Ventilation was taken care of using a double-circulation geothermal heat exchange structure combined with a ventilation well.

Finally, the house is also fitted with equipment that makes it possible to reuse rainwater.
